Guangzhou, June 16, 2022 -- China Mobile Research Institute and China Mobile Beijing, together with ZTE, recently completed the renovation and opening of the first 5G green and energy-saving demonstration station in downtown Beijing. Combined with the specific situation of the capital station, China Mobile proposed to take advantage of the existing property resources, install solar panels on the top of the machine room, and realize the scheme of the mixed power supply of solar energy and mains electricity of the station through the mixed plug of photovoltaic modules and rectifier modules. Combined with ZTE's high-density and efficient intelligent power system, it not only maximizes the use of photovoltaic green energy, but also overcomes the difficulty of photovoltaic power supply being affected by the weather. The average daily generating capacity of the site is about 10-30 KWH, the average annual generating capacity is about 6000 KWH, and the annual equivalent emission reduction is about 5.9 tons of CO2. The transformation and opening of this site has accumulated a lot of experience in the use of green energy, and provided a demonstration and reference for the subsequent opening of more green sites.
Climate action has become a global consensus. China Mobile and ZTE have a social responsibility to reduce energy consumption in their communication networks. According to the Paris Agreement, the ICT industry is required to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45% between 2020 and 2030. Under this requirement, China Mobile and ZTE have carried out extensive exploration of new energy saving and consumption reduction schemes. On the one hand, we continue to use new technologies, new materials and new processes to reduce the energy consumption of the base station itself. On the other hand, we actively explore green energy, cross-peak power consumption, minimalist site and other aspects by using our own technological advantages, and have achieved numerous achievements.
