The prosperity of the Hongmeng ecosystem requires not only a technological foundation as the driving force for development, but also a talent reserve as the source of vitality. According to a relevant research report released by the InfoQ Research Center, there is currently a talent shortage of millions in the domestic Hongmeng ecosystem, with over 3 million potential new positions. As a core contributor to the open-source Hongmeng ecosystem, Chengmai Technology is collaborating with industry and education partners to jointly engage in talent cultivation, injecting momentum for the continuous prosperity of the ecosystem.
On December 27th, the 2025 HarmonyOS Ecosystem Talent Conference, organized by the Global Intelligent Internet of Things Alliance (GIIC), was held in Wuhan. The conference focused on the theme of "New Ecosystem, New Talents, New Momentum". Chengmai Technology showcased the innovative achievements of the HarmonyOS operating system in the education sector, and engaged in discussions with industry experts, enterprise representatives, and university scholars about the paths of talent cultivation and the opportunities for industrial collaboration.
In response to the urgent demand of the industry for practical developers, Chengmai Technology has focused on showcasing the Hongzhi Education Training Box. This training box is based on the open-source HarmonyOS as its technical foundation, and is equipped with its own self-developed Hongzhi operating system. Both the software and hardware are open-source and support secondary development. Inside the box, more than 10 types of IoT modules and sensors are pre-installed, and over 20 industry data sets and more than 100 experimental resources are provided, which can cover the experimental needs of multiple majors such as computer science, software engineering, IoT, and artificial intelligence. Currently, the training box and its core modules have obtained the compatibility certificate of the open-source HarmonyOS ecosystem, and have been implemented and applied in universities such as China University of Mining and Technology. This has contributed to the supply of practical-capable multi-skilled talents to the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
In addition, Chengmai Technology also showcased Hongzhi Industrial Handheld PDA and tablet devices. These two devices are mainly used for data collection, edge processing and real-time analysis in scenarios such as intelligent manufacturing, smart warehousing and equipment inspection. They are key products that drive the commercial implementation of open-source HarmonyOS in the industrial sector. Based on practical experience in digital factories, Chengmai Technology has also created a complete training project covering industrial equipment data clouding and the development of open-source HarmonyOS industrial apps, including modules such as soft bus technology and AI foundation, helping learners master the key capabilities of open-source HarmonyOS through practical learning.
Since joining the Open Harmony project group, Chengmai Technology has actively promoted the integration of industry and education. It not only holds the "Open Harmony Talent Certification Authorized Training Partner (Preferred Level)" qualification, but also has established a training system covering curriculum development, teacher training, school-enterprise cooperation, and talent certification, aiming to connect the entire chain from theoretical learning to industrial application, and providing solid talent support for the continuous development of the ecosystem.
